Consucutive wins for Oviedo
Real Oviedo picked up three valuable points at the Estadio El Alcoraz. Nestor Susaeta with the only goal of the game from the penalty spot in the last minute.
Sergio Egea made the rare choice in naming an unchanged side from last weeks win over Gimnastic.
Linares had the best chance of the first half but his close range effort following Susaeta's free kick was superbly saved by Oscar Whalley in the Huesca goal.
In the second half Huesca's Venuezulan player Machis went close from the edge of the area but his curling left footed effort went inches wide of the far post.
On 65 minutes the home side were reduced to ten men when Inigo Lopez was shown a straight red card. It came following an in swinging corner when Lopez challenged the keeper. Esteban managed to punch the ball out for another corner but momentum meant the midfielder landed on Esteban as both players fell to the floor. The Huesca player appeared to kick out at Esteban as they both lay there. The referee had no hesitation in dismissing Lopez.
Substitute Hervias went close to opening the scoring but his drive went just wide of the post.
The winning goal came from the penalty spot. Just as it looked like we were heading for a goalless draw Pena whipped a cross in from the left hand side and as Borja Valle rose to get a head to it he seemed to get a shove from Huesca defender Carlos David and the referee pointed to the spot. Up stepped Susaeta to tuck it into the bottom corner and give Los Carbayones all three points and our second consecutive win and clean sheet.
Next week we are away from home again as we make the long journey south to face Cordoba.
Hala Oviedo!
